Online rent payments

Tenants always see your direct payment instructions (Zelle, bank bill-pay, check). That route is free for everyone and stays on the rent page even after you connect a bank account.

When your bank account is connected, a tenant can also choose to pay from the portal. The processor sets a fee and adds it to their payment. The portal shows an estimate before they pay (about 2.9% plus 30 cents for a card). The tenant pays the fee on top of the rent. You pay nothing on either route. Cards are on by default. Online bank transfer through Sproutly is not offered right now.

Turn cards off if you do not want payments that can be disputed later. Autopay charges only the current month's rent and stops while a notice is open. Nothing breaks either way; the direct route is always there.

1. Open Money, then Online payments.
2. Under Payout account, follow the steps to connect your bank account.
3. Under Online rails and fees, untick Accept cards if you do not want card payments. Cards are on by default. Choose Save.
